Underwater Naturalist

Course Overview
The Underwater Naturalist Specialty gives you plenty of time to stop and stare at the wonders of the aquatic world! The course is an introduction to the underwater aquatic environment, especially the creatures you might otherwise miss, and will help develop safe and responsible aquatic life interaction techniques.

What do I need to start?
You will be a certified Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or have a qualifying certification from another organisation). Minimum age is 10 years old. Check out the PADI Medical Form to make sure you don't need to have a medical before you start the course.

What will I do?
During the course, you'll learn underwater naturalist dive planning, organisation, procedures, techniques and potential problems. You'll also get an overview of the major aquatic life groupings, interactions and factual information that dispels negative myths. You'll put this information into practice during your two open water dives.

How long will it take?
The course can be completed in one day.

What is included in the course price?
Your Underwater Naturalist manual and standard scuba equipment as required.

When can I start?
