Night Diver

Course Overview
When you go night diving even your familiar local dive site takes on a whole new personality! Many underwater creatures that are hidden away during the day are active at night giving you a whole new perspective. The Night Diver Speciality is designed to develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary to safely participate in night diving activities.

What do I need to start?
You will be a certified Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or have a qualifying certification from another organisation). Minimum age is 12 years old. Check out the PADI Medical Form to make sure you don't need to have a medical before you start the course.

What will I do?
You'll learn night dive planning, organisation, procedures, techniques and potential problems, and how to navigate and communicate at night. You'll also get an introduction to nocturnal aquatic life!

How long will it take?
In the first session, you'll spend an afternoon going over the theory and then get ready for your night dive! You'll conduct a total of three night dives. These will be scheduled according to tides, weather conditions and your commitments.

What is included in the course price?
Your night diver manual and standard scuba equipment. You will be expected to have two torches - a primary and a secondary - which can be purchased from us at a special Night Diver rate if you wish!

When can I start?
Your course starts as soon as you receive your Night Diver manual! Check out our Course Diary for the next course date or call us!

Where can I go from here?
This Speciality Course counts as one of the five speciality certifications required for Master Scuba Diver Certification.
