Drysuit Diver
Course Overview
If you want to see our wonderful and prolific aquatic life and stay warm all year round you're going to need a dry suit! It is important to be trained in proper techniques and this is where the PADI Dry Suit Diver Speciality comes in!
What do I need to start?
You will be a certified Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or have a qualifying certification from another organisation). Minimum age is 10 years old. Check out the PADI Medical Form to make sure you don't need to have a medical before you start the course.
What will I do?
The course is designed to develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for dry suit diving. You'll cover operation principles, care and maintenance and diving techniques. You'll also cover problem and hazard solving and proper dry suit buoyancy control. You'll first of all get used to your dry suit and practice dry suit diving safety scenarios in confined water followed by two dives in open water.
How long will it take?
The course is normally conducted over two days. Day one includes your theory and confined water sessions, day two includes your two open water dives.
What is included in the course price?
Your Dry Suit Diver manual and all your tuition, equipment excluding dry suit. We do not provide dry suits so you should only book with us if you have already purchased or borrowed a dry suit.
When can I start?
Your course starts as soon as you receive your Dry Suit Diver manual! Check out our Course Diary for the next course date or call us!
Where can I go from here?
